Charles Watkinson
Charles Watkinson is Director of University of Michigan Press and Associate University Librarian for Publishing at the University of Michigan Library. University of Michigan Press publishes around 100 books a year and is known for its commitment to innovation and accessibility in book publishing. It is the first academic publisher to have its ebook publishing workflow registered by Benetech as Certified Global Accessible, a recent finalist in the Society for Scholarly Publishing EPIC awards, and well-known for its commitment to open access book publishing and multimodal products that "go beyond the book." Charles is a recent past president of the Association of University Presses.
