John Warren
John W. Warren (he/his) is Professor and Director, Graduate Program in Publishing, College of Professional Studies, at The George Washington University. He launched and directed the George Mason University Press; and previously held positions of Marketing & Sales Director, Georgetown University Press; Director of Marketing, Publications, RAND Corporation; and Marketing Manager at Sage Publications and Fondo de Cultura Económica. He has a master's degree in international management from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, a frequent speaker at international publishing conferences, and author of several articles about publishing, metadata, and the evolution of eBooks. He is a classical guitarist and composer and writes about composition and performance. He is publisher and founder of the GW Journal of Ethics in Publishing, organizer of the GW Ethics in Publishing Conference, and founder of the Student Journal Symposium for Literary and Research Publications.
