Corey Parson is the Managing Editor of the University of North Georgia Press, a position she has held since 2014. With over 17 years of experience in small business management—10 of those in publishing—she specializes in cover and book design, copyright, EDP management, and accessibility. Her book design for Latinx Media received an honorary mention at the Southern Books Competition, sponsored by the Southeastern Library Association. Corey frequently presents on topics related to publishing and copyright, sharing her expertise at conferences and workshops. She holds a bachelor's degree in English, a certificate in Copyright for Publishers from the Copyright Clearance Center, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration. Passionate about the future of publishing, she is exploring ways to leverage AI while maintaining transparency, integrity, and author protection.
