Presenter Details

Jen is Digital Production Manager at Manchester University Press (MUP). As part of the Production & Operations team, she oversees production on around 40 new books per year, as well as MUP's 5 journals. She works with project managers and digital conversion suppliers to develop MUP's range of digital products, including a new ebook collection on International Law, accessible ebooks for Manchester Museum's new Golden Mummies exhibition catalogue, and she is also the lead for MUP's exciting new audiobooks programme. She is also currently involved in several projects focused on enhancing the accessibility and discoverability of MUP content and websites, and is interested in expanding the range of formats MUP titles are available in, to suit all user preferences. Jen has been at Manchester University Press since 2018, and finds that working in academic publishing makes excellent use of her background in bookselling, teaching, and Higher Education project administration and delivery. Jen has been working on MUP's internship programme for several years, building partnerships with the Careers Service and the Institute of Cultural Practices at the University of Manchester to develop sustainable and socially responsible internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in the publishing industry.
