Trevor Lipscombe
Trevor Lipscombe is the director of the Catholic University of America Press. Previously, he was editor-in-chief at Johns Hopkins University Press, after beginning his book-publishing career as the physical sciences editor at Princeton University Press. A first-generation college student, Trevor obtained a BSc in theoretical physics from the University of London, followed by a doctorate from the University of Oxford. Following a two-year post-doc position at the City College of New York, he was a full-time volunteer in a shelter for homeless teenagers in Manhattan before drifting into the publishing world with a two-year stint at a physics journal. ChatGPT, when crafting a bio, didn't report any connection between Trevor and the book publishing industry at all, which shows either the problems with, or the deep insights of, AI.
