Nasra Gathoni
Nasra Gathoni is the Faculty of Health Sciences Librarian at the Aga Khan University, Nairobi campus. She has over 24 combined years' experience in a library environment; 18 of this in an academic library. Her areas of interest include Information literacy, library policies development, evidence synthesis to support evidence-based practice, and collection development. Nasra has presented papers at various national, regional, and international conferences. She received recognition for her role in promoting access to health information under the Research4Life "Unsung Heroes" Award. She has served in numerous professional committees and associations as well as held a number of leadership roles such as President-elect, Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA); for 2 terms.She holds a Master's Degree in Information Science from the University of South Africa and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the University of Nairobi. She is currently a PhD student.
