Kelly Chrisman Jacques

Kelly Chrisman Jacques is the assistant director and managing editor at the University Press of Kansas (UPK). She has over fifteen years of experience in scholarly publishing, with expertise in project management and collaborative leadership. She began her career at UPK during grad school as a part-time production assistant before advancing to production editor, managing editor, and a two-year role as managing director. Building on UPK's history of appreciation of student employees' talent, Chrisman Jacques established the Press's first official internship program in 2017 to better engage students in a more in-depth exploration of career opportunities in publishing.
