Adventures in Digital Publishing: The Author's Perspective

Since 2020, the Adventures in Digital Publishing web series has produced five episodes, each showcasing the team behind a different enhanced and interactive digital book that has been published by university presses. This session will reflect on the many challenges and opportunities of the enhanced digital book format from the author's perspective. Panelists will be authors of digital publications, loosely guided in conversation by members of the Adventures in Digital Publishing planning committee and by your questions. Come prepared to discuss a range of topics that may include deciding on the digital format, securing funding, working with a university digital humanities center, finding a publisher, and the production process from the author's perspective.
